The project partners of this Transnational Exchange Programme carried out the following work programme from December 2002 untill August 2003:

12/2002

  • preparation of first workshop and planning of the work programme

01/2003

  • First workshop of partnership in Frankfurt am Main to discuss the work programme and timetable 

01/2003-04/2003 

  • Compilation of social situation of migrant and ethnic minorities in each country

  • Compilation of major findings of research concerning volunteering of migrant and ethnic minorities

  • Identification of key actors and local, regional and national political programmes to facilitate volunteering of migrant and ethnic minorities

  • Identification and description of some examples of good practice (3-5 in each country)

04/2003

  • Building up a multi-sectoral partnership in each country that consists of self-organisations of migrants and ethnic minorities, NGOs, welfare organisations, local, regional and national authorities

05/2003

  • Second workshop of partnership in Frankfurt am Main to present the results of what has been done so far and to discuss the application for phase II

05/2003-07/2003

  • Transnational workshops to present the results and to discuss the second project phase with potential new partners from self-organisations of migrants and ethnic minorities, NGOs, welfare organisations, local, regional and national authorities

    • workshop in Germany: 22th of May in Offenbach am Main

    • workshop in France: 6th of June in Paris

    • workshop in Austria: 13th of June in Vienna

    • workshop in Denmark: 19th of June in Copenhagen

    • workshop in the Netherlands: 27th of June in Amsterdam

    • workshop in the United Kingdom: 4th of July in London

  • national reports in respective language + summary in English, print and dissemination as copies and on the Internet
